ICT Register Showcase - Engaging the Community

This showcase conference united practitioners from across the world, sharing innovative and practical ideas and activities to demonstrate how ICT helps to enrich and personalise learning.
This year's programme featured:
Keynotes from John Davitt, Freelance Thinker, Practical Visionary, Journalist and Andy Tyerman, Head of Personalising Learning, Becta.
Showcase presentations and workshops led by classroom practitioners and focusing on the development of virtual and physical learning environments and the use of creative and collaborative technologies for engaging communities. Specific showcases and workshops supported by our partners Softease and Becta.
Exhibition of popular and innovative software applications, hardware and technology services with relevance to the Showcase theme and practices being featured.
Keynotes and showcases covered:
- How technology is helping to engage families and the wider community in learning, both in the school and outside.
- How new and creative technologies for example, social and collaborative media, handheld and mobile technologies, - are supporting classroom practice and helping to raise attainment.
The schools and city learning centres hosting the showcases and workshops were from the ICT Register - a unique network of schools keen to openly share their achievements with ICT on the Register website.
