Development of an eILP (Individual Learning Plan)
Area: Learning and Teaching / Assessment / monitoring
school: Eggbuckland Community College
location: Plymouth, SW1 region

Strength

We have developed along with a local software company and the Plymouth ESF project a new web based software solution which provides all students with an online ILP (Individual Learning Plan).

The eILP allows each student to record (in a blog format) items which relate to their personal and academic life.  The student has the ability to say who can access what items.  The items flagged for staff to see are available during our academic review days to form the whole picture of the student.

The system also offers the ability to create 'templates' which allows teachers and other staff to gather information from the students which can then be see by staff.  The templates are very useful for gathering evidence for the ASDAN COPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness).
