Longfield School

School description:

Longfield is a school well equipped for the twenty first century. It embraces the latest technological advances with an interactive whiteboard in every classroom and over 500 computers to help provide a stimulating education. Ofsted has judged us to be 'outstanding' in using ICT to raise achievement and engage with parents.
In 2008 Longfield spent £300,000 on infrastructure and equipment to continue its ICT revolution for which it has gained several local and national awards for demonstrating good practice in the use of ICT. This has included, through Becta, the best whole school use of ICT across the curriculum. The school has also been re-designated with the ICT charter mark and has worked with other schools local authorities and national bodies to research and promote the use of ICT, including a collaboration with Teacher TV.
