The Dearne High School |
The Dearne High School is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school, with 1235 students on role. It offers a broad and balanced curriculum that serves all of our youngsters- within a caring and supportive system. Our intake is semi-rural and drawn from three main wards that feature highly on social deprivation indices.
The school has been successful in applying for several major government funding initiatives to enhance teaching and learning with both the school and our community. These include Excellence in Cities, Small Education Action Zone and the Behaviour Improvement Project. Effective and efficient ICT based teaching and learning is central to the Headteacher's vision for the school.
