Saints Peter and Paul is a voluntary aided Catholic co-educational comprehensive. The total student population is 1625, ranging between the ages of 11-18. Since September 2005 the school has been a specialist sports college.
Saints Peter and Paul is also the host school for Widnes' City Learning Centre. This offers first class ICT facilities and is designed to aid teaching methods through the use of the latest digital technologies, including 90 desktop computers, interactive whiteboards, video conferencing and a state of the art Apple Mac suite. This gives access to industry standard multimedia, graphic design, video editing, music composition and web-design facilities. The structure of the CLC reflects the aim of providing a modern, stimulating and engaging learning environment that will raise standards for all students.
