ICT Register Showcase - Engaging the Community
Tuesday 27 January 2009, Holywell Park, Loughborough
Conference Sponsors and Exhibitors
The objective of the ICT Register showcase is to unite practitioners from across the world, sharing innovative and practical ideas and activities to demonstrate how ICT helps to enrich and personalise learning. The ICT Register Community is grateful for the support of its major Partners Becta and Softease without whose support the ICT Register Showcase would not be able to take place in its current form. Thanks is also due to the sponsors who are supporting individual showcases and the exhibitors who are providing such a lively exhibition. Without all of their support we would not have such an enjoyable and inspiring day.
Major Partners:Becta
Becta leads the national drive to improve learning through technology. We do this by working with industry to ensure we have the right technology for education in place. We also support the education sector to make the best use of technology so that every learner in the UK is able to benefit from its advantages and achieves the best they can. As part of our support for whole school review Becta, along with other national partners have developed the self-review framework. This offers schools a route for assessing and improving their use of ICT. Based on maturity models, the framework allows schools to benchmark against established best practice and helps to create an action plan for improvement. The ICT Mark is a nationally recognised accreditation scheme which gives schools recognition for their achievements in reaching a good standard in their use of technology. Becta are working with SSAT to align the ICT Register to this institutional improvement model ensuring joined up messages on what good ICT provision looks like. Website: www.becta.org.uk |
